This forum have thread-prefixes available. That means you can prefix your thread with a prefix. Later when people are browsing
the forums they can filter their view on prefixes. For example content about Age Of Empires HD version should be prefixed
with the "AOE-HD" prefix. In that way other users easily can see what content to expect in that thread.
Another way to "mark" your posts are to tag it. There is a field in the post editor where you can add tags. Example of
use will be when you are posting a recorded game for Age Of Empires II. Then you will prefix the thread with "AOE-II"
prefix and possibly additionally tag the thread with tags like "1800+", "arabia", "1v1". If you prefix and tag your posts
it will make it easier for other to find and filter content in the forums.
Images and attachments
A common problem on forums are when there are linked extern images and the source for some reason disappears. That causes
broken images that doesnt look good at all. When you are posting images on AoEZone then try to avoid external images.
Instead drag the extern image to your desktop and the again drag that image directly into your post at the position where
you want the image to appear. When you do it this way the image are saved on AoEZone server and will be available as long
as AoEZone are alive.
Threads on the frontpage
You can ask a moderator to promote your thread to the frontpage of AoEZone. For a thread to be accepted on the frontpage
it needs at least one image as an attachment (not external link). It also need to be of some interrest for the community.
Calendar and Events
AoEZone have a calendar. You can submit events there but events need to be approved by a moderator before it appears in the
calendar. When creating an event in the calendar you can also choose a forum where a thread for your event will appear.
There are some predefined forums available for choosing. Check this link for more info about the calendar.
Recorded games
AoEZone have a parser that can parse Age Of Empires recorded games. If you upload a recorded game the site will parse the
game and display a detailed overview of the game. The preferred format for uploaded games as ZIP or RAR but raw files
are also accepted. You can also choose if you want the parser to fetch ratings from Voobly. If you select a ladder in
the upload process then ratings will be fetched from Voobly and saved together with the game.
I very rare cases the parser will fail to parse the recorded game. If you experience that please let us know so we can
look into it.
