the problem with this mentality is that it allows them to make excuses for issues that have been in the game since early this year. maybe they should re-task the developers, or re-allocate funding to core mechanics over trivial UI changes?
I probably sound salty because I am. i couldn't play...
I mean if people click a preferred map, and there are others in the queue with the same map preferred, it should strongly tend to match them. if someone doesn't explicitly ban a map it can be played too.
I dont actually ban/favorite really that often. i just hate waiting in queue 5x6 over for...
with preferred map, i dont understand why they force people to play maps they dont like. surely if you ban a map someone else has favorited, surely that match should just never be attempted? match up the preferred arabia with preferred arabia, preferred BF with prefered BF and all are happy
is that for 1v1 or TG? i wonder if its time of day issue for you (im basically opposite side of the world) the only time the queue goes on for more than 5 mins for me in tg is when i get the failed to connect message, which is queue dodgers/bug/who knows/thanks DE,
their other bonuses are good enough, maybe if they want to keep a farming quirk around they could make houses/lumber/mining also a food dropoff point, so at least the farmers work at the same rate as every other generic civ, but you dont have to build extra mills
this was SUPPOSED to be the reason for dedicated servers. instead of the game running at the slowest of the players PCS speed, the server runs the game. if your pc cant keep up, only you slow down. yet it seems like the performance of the worse PC can somehow influence the stability of the server.
like how the "fix" to the bad melee pathing and "clunkyness" while trying to attack was "fixed" by allowing units to teleport slightly to get better melee engagements lul
I think this depends entirely on the amount of people in each pool. given a near infinite amount of people splitting the pool wouldn't matter at all. if there were fewer than a few hundred people playing at a time I could see this being the case. its basically the same story for DM, why they...
also on closed maps, their civ bonuses stack so well for booming, you can do 24+0 into 3-4 tc boom with no idle, because you dont need to drop off food less force dropping meaning you can go to 4-5 tcs even sooner. then you dont need to spend 400 wood or 650 stone to go up, you can just make...
