I thought I might be mixing up the origin of boar luring with boar laming. I thought it was fulgore as well, but when I googled, I only got this cheating account link, as above, so then started doubting my memory.
I can't seem to remember the origin of boar luring and boar laming. I swear I remember the story, how the guy was banned because everyone thought he was cheating, and then he had to reveal what he was doing.
Google, however, is not my friend. I cannot find any articles or posts about this.

I guess the question is what problem this solves given that most players use ranked auto-matches currently, and the tournament-elo site already exists for rating pros in serious games?

Voted content creation/tournament calendar information hub/discussion.
We used to talk about what was going on in the world of AoE2, the latest tournaments, incredible games, hyping up what was coming and what had passed. Now many tournaments come and go and a aoezone-only user might completely...
I do have to admit that "no more than 10% of the front page can be memes" is the dumbest rule I've heard of. If it's a shitty repeated low effort pseudo meme, then get rid of it. If it's no good, it'll be downvoted. If it's good, even if it pushes the meme numbers to 11%, it'll rightly earn its...
