If our "pro" players don't want to look like an ass, first they should read the rules before the tournament, actively schedule, and not be late to the scheduled time.
Sadly we have many "asses", and they do that to themselves, the public just doesn't care.
R2 starts next week, hopefully with fewer AWs.
R1 delivered quite a few great series, like Kasva-Lewis, KingStone-Argh or Prisma-Somero, and the Viper-Youpudding, Daut-Rmcoo sets were even more fun than expected!
If the player doesn't feel comfortable with the opponent streaming without stream delay (which is the same length as spectator delay, those who want to cheat would rather use that), they will simply play with stream delay.
Announcing the most thrilling tournament of 2024: Sudden Dessaster! A new heart-pounding 1v1 sudden death tournament organised by JonSlow, featuring a $2,500 community-funded prize pool!
In Sudden Dessaster, you will not be able to build any additional town centres. However, you cannot lose...
Maybe we were watching different streams (I always muted it/went to somewhere else when memb was casting), but I remember multiple times when the casters pointed out teleporting units or pathing messing up situations/fights, including villagers doing nothing and losing crucial resources early game.

I remember seeing RBW and some other aoe2 tournaments on betting sites (screenshots), though how mainstream/big they were I can't tell, not betting myself.
So far with DE, almost every "pathing improvement" made it worse.. do we really want the devs to focus on "fixing" pathing?
They should probably revert it to some old version and never touch it again..
