Nice that you tried to implement it, but it seems to be buggy/too easy. If yellow resigns, grey randomly resigns as well. Yellow and red are very slow, dont build up proper army and thus you dont have a good fight :S
Aside from using aoezone as a calender to know when important games are happening, for which you mostly use liquipedia nowadays anyways, i don't think aoezone is needed anymore.
Barely any members are online anymore and the forum is pretty much dead, especially if you compare it to how active...
The chosen timeframe is indeed extremly unfortunate, overlapping with TTL, NAC4, RF4, but I also get how hard it is to find a suitable timespan.
Aoe2 would finally need a tournament schedule/calender, which is respected by all tournament organizers.
Shared exploration is destroying the classic feel of nations cup? In the last 5 years we more than doubled the amount of civilisations, had tons of game behaviour changes, tons of quality of life improvements, hunderds of balance changes and yet seeing your ally in darkage/feudal + having better...
There have been 3 Rage Forest tournaments with shared exploration so far - with increasing success and there is a good chance that we will have another one - so the claim that every TG tournament was played without shared exploration is wrong.
Allied vision is just an other quality of life...
A very good change, often you cant wait until your market is up to see where exactly that army is going or what and how exactly your ally performs and plays.
I dont see any good argument aggainst allied vision as default in TGs, i mean how can you be in favour for worse communication for everyone?
Every visual mod should always be allowed imo. It's one of the biggest advantages of aoe over other games, that you have insane mod support. Minimap is too small? Np, download a mod and you will get a bigger size. A player colour isnt visible enough, you can just download a mod. Whatever problem...
no that has nothing to do with civ picking. You will play the same 18/19 pop archer strat with whatever civ you have. If you didnt pick a top archer civs, you just extra disadvantage, but the game will stay as snowbally as without. Picking a civ doesn't spawn more trees around your base 11
100% agree with you, 18 pop archer from flank is extremly hard to stop and the low/exposed economy one has makes games very snowbally and easily decided at min 13. That's a problem on any open landmap right now. Instead of advancing through the ages you end up with an eco-age where you play down...
Maurice Weber = journalist from gamestar, who streams from time to time as well, well-experienced in build-up games like Anno or Siedler series, but not so much in aoe. Average viewer count like 1k I think?
Maxim = variety streamer, streams whatever is popular/new. Played aoe a few times, but...
imo the fairest approach in case someone can't come would be to let all players who made it into the qualifying matched/Ro8, but didnt qualify, battle down for the remaining spots.
That would be: Dogao, Ganji, Dark, Kingston, Slam and Sebastian.
I hope that a replacement won't just be done via...
please post this kind of stuff in aoeforums, here:

that's where devs will find it the fastest.
