Absolutely loved Hidden Cup V from start to finish, but I'm glad it was only 8 days.
I really look forward to stop waking up at 7 am every day
Personally I don't buy that at all for Jordan. Since he stopped being full-time and since TTL 3 people have been selling him short, and he was incredible at NAC 5. I don't see why he would underperform at HC 5, I think people are still underestimating him.
Pachacuti's picks are not very...
Hey True,
Do you know if they have any plans on opening other Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer positions at World's Edge? I've always kept my eye open for such roles on the AoE franchise but didn't know they were hiring at all!
The biggest myth in modern day competitive AoE 2 is that Arabia is an "aggressive map". All top pros are fully walled by minute 10, and why wouldn't they? Players have become so good at punishing and capitalizing on a single mistake that keeping yourself open to an enemy raid is the surest way...
I knew your username sounded familiar.
I really appreciate your message, especially since your analysis post for NC 2017 is precisely what got me into making those write-ups for all these tournaments. Even my writing style for these today is still influenced by your own from back then (which...
It's been hard to find the time and motivation to write these recently - almost did one for RBW Legacy but ran out of time. Nations Cup has me pretty hyped up so I soldiered up through laziness this time. Thanks for your comments! :)
I think my knowledge of the scene has unfortunately decreased...
Six years. It has been a long time since the last Nations Cup – the latest major 4v4 tournament on a competitive scene that has otherwise entered a golden age in recent years.
The scene has changed enormously since then. What used to be a precarious business model where a few wealthy patrons...
As far as I know the new stage is not AoE 4 only, it's also meant to be used for the semis and finals of the AoE 2 event next weekend.
Also god how entitled people need to be lol.
You should be happy there is a LAN at all.
Viper is still the best player in the world, the difference is simply the margins have narrowed a lot, and he is not longer untouchable as he used to be pre-2020.
Hera and Liereyy are great players too and perhaps even more so in Empire Wars settings, but they haven't won many 1v1 tournaments...
Classic AoEZone keyboard warriors unfortunately.
Absolutely loving the tournament so far. The production value is off the roof, and the players seem to be having a great time at the castle, which is by far the most important thing.
It does, but also does not at the same time. It will become a footnote in history.
Last year had Yo and ACCM missing out, arguably bigger misses, yet what is remembered is Viper's epic final vs Liereyy.
