I think its about time to discuss gamebalance before the kotd tournament. Maybe its too late, but its closing in so I think we should quickly discuss this. Also the players should have the opportunity to properly practise the gamebalance which will be played on in the tournament.
Cysion has said in another thread he is looking at the gamebalance already, but he wants to do it right and is probably looking at a bigger balance patch. This is perfectly fine, and probably the best way to go about it, and not rush a bad balance patch.
What I'm thinking though is that even if we cant perfect the balance this time, maybe we could look at some select few balance changes of certain and current broken units for 1v1 play.
I have 4 units in mind which should be looked into:
Camel archers, karambit, arambai and eagles.
Exactly what changes which should be done is outside of my expertise but I heard good suggestions like camel archers should run slower (so camels can catch up for example), karambit cost 1 pop and produce slower. Arambai and eagles probably needs a smaller tweak to them.
Is it realistic to get some quick balance change before the tournament?
Could for example Jineapple update the wololo mod for this tournament and instead go back to follow the official balance changes later when its released?
