True (hmm balance isn't everything?)Id like to repeat that civs need to be fun to play too, even for pros.
Untrue (it's just like, your opinion man)Portuguese, koreans, byzantines, burmese are all just boring civs.

Little ? Its like taking away conqs from Spanish and we know where they landed :D Spanish at least have still paladins and their blacksmith :DBurmese are not boring. Is just they are balanced arround an OP unit. Take arambai away and they become a little underwhelming. Same for koreans and the war wagon (altough WW is not op, just a great unit), and the "trush or die" identity.
Anyway, i still think that this statistics, while useful, are not 100% accurate, since seeding is super important for this. Probably the statistics of 1700 or 1800 elo 1v1 would give us a much more clear idea
Indeed. I mean, burmese could use some military buff specifically for their elephants (something that helps them in castle agez without affecting the final balance in post imp). They're seen as boring because they only have 1 thing going for them (2, if you count the m@a, but anyway...)Little ? I like the idea of the extra splash damage, but i will give it as a civ bonus. For skirms, I guess +1pa for skirms per age starting at castle age would be more than enoughThey struggle hard in post imp with one of the weakest skirmishers. I wish SOTL would do a video on the best and worst skirmishers. Would be interesting to see.
I think they should remove 1 PA from Arambai and elite Arambai (1;2 -->0;1) but Parthian tactics affect Arambai. If that isn’t enough then increase regular arambai TT by 4 or 5 seconds but keep elite the same. Nerf them in castle age because unfortunately in arena and fortress allow them to mass very early in castle age where they are better than siege. However it would buff them in imperial age which is a nice trade off.
I want to see how Burmese would fare if they got:
It would allow them the option of going elephants in early castle age even though they don't have the best farm eco because the +1 PA. They would have strong elephants in late castle age but wouldn't be able to produce as many as Khmer. Also, the increase and now gold cost in Howdah makes it very difficult to get all the upgrades in castle age. Elephants and Burmese in general have been nerfed pretty hard since they had 9 PA elephants; they get hard countered by archers too easily. Khmer overwhelms people in TG because they can go up to castle age faster than any pocket, have a strong eco bonus to sustain elephant production very early in castle age, and get to your base quickly. Burmese wouldn't be able to do this so I think extra PA elephants would help them in 1v1 and wouldn't be OP in team games.
- Howdah gives +1/+1 OR +1PA and +25% splash damage but tech cost ~600f/400g
- a civ bonus +1 PA on elephants (if too strong then husbandry doesn't affect elephants.)
