@TheWayMan NoWayMan.Please, please, and I mean for the love of all fix the tournament times.
AoE2DE and AoE4 both have horendius timezone issues.
I can play Super Smash Bros Ultimate, I can play sc2, I can play CSGO, LoL, YOU NAME IT, all these games TO's organize for NA time zone or separate them. Never in my life have I see a Esport cut out a huge part of the players in a video game just to get that sweet 1PM EU time. No offense but I don't think TheViper (just an example calm down viper fans I like his content as well) and other players really need that much of and advantage (and you can't say it isn't because it REALLY is a huge difference in terms of warming up). I don't play to become number one, I have a job and a life. I DO LIKE TO COMPETE IN TOURNAMENTS. MAN IT SURE IS FUN! But it is nearly impossible to make a normal schedule work with tournaments for aoe4. I can get a few but all the big ones I just watch if I have free time at work like "Oh there goes the tournament I wanted to play in.." And don't give me that "it is impossible" stuff anymore. I have talked to make TO's and they just say "We simply cannot do that" or "We don't have enough people" to do it I guess not sure what TO's will come up with next.
It might be weird to call out TO's but they do it in any sport or esport in history when the time comes and that time has come. Every single esports can do it and has GREAT success. Why does Aoe2DE and AoE4 really not want to catch up with the times? You have the power of smash.gg, Microsoft, what more do you really need backing your game? Smash has done amazing with out Nintendo's help for (I feel so bad I have to say this) 20 plus years. Sc2 has thrived with help from blizzard for a long time and now has an ESL circuit. PLEASE Look to other games and expand this esports we are just building a cage around our player base and saying "Nope, no fun for you stay away"....
Feel free to disagree with me I don't play to be number one, but playing competitively is super fun to me, going to locals for SSBU, going to lans back in the day for Sc2 I just wish AoE4 was one of those games I could invest time into but I have no ability to do so. I simply can't but I can for any other game... why is that? Why am I forced to not enjoy and play aoe4 in esports and be a part of it?
111111111 < that's me, laughing in Australian, GMT+11 baby. I lost my **** when I saw this thread was posted by a north American
That's an interesting observation. Do you think it would be different? Do you mean that the criticism towards his argument and the wording is invalid?lol I wonder how much different the reaction to this would be if the only thing you changed was the flag next to the op's name.
Well some of the replies I've read have been pretty derisive in tone and I think it is possible people would be responding in a less hostile way if he was from a different country in North America. That's an interesting observation.
