I saw him use like 6 before even one pala died
He uses like 4 flaming camels to nearly kill 20 Cavaliers at 27 seconds.

Yea, i was referring to this moment, thought those were palas, my bad 11

Looks like 12 dead cavaliers and 4 injured, but ya I only saw when he first tested them.

It's ok paladin and cavalier hardly look different now anywaysYea, i was referring to this moment, thought those were palas, my bad 11
Unrealistic, then they would be available for all civs, in castle age already, would be effective against mostly evrything like demos and be OP as hell.Still kinda hoping it's an april fools' thing.
I dunno, maybe I'm a grumpy old man, but they just look incredibly stupid and feel like the devs made a total joke of the game. Still kinda hoping it's an april fools' thing. Again, maybe I'm just a grumpy old man and they are actually supposed to be hilarious.

With how they are right now they are surprisingly well ballanced and far away from being OP or breaking anything in the game.
Also they were already existing in the campaign.
Not the unit we needed nor the unit we hoped for, but it's an interesting addition without breaking anything yet.
I don’t understand why ppl are complaining so much about the camels when: it’s only available to 1/35 civ, in post imp, after UT. If you don’t like it, don’t use it? .. lol
Pfff make sth new and everyone loses their mind. Complain about other much more important stuff like spectating or not seeing enemy civs in ranked matchmaking.
a definitive edition of a game shouldn't just add random units for the lulz or memes
I would say flaming camels are more historically accurate than petards.
Petards were never guys that ran against buildings and blew themselves up.
EDIT: Also, at which point was aoe2 a perfect piece of design?
But mangonels and scorpions were also never weird robots moving alone. Siege units in this game require a bit of imagination. Maybe you actually only really buy the bomb, and the guy kind tries to escape while blowing it up, and sometimes succeeds and sometimes not.
Huh?
Civ bonuses are obviously supposed to be unique...otherwise...they wouldn’t be a...ermm...bonus.
Why are you not complaining about Huns not having to build houses? There are 35 civ. Must another civ have it too?
And yes please...lets stop with the historical accuracy crap...
It already led to devs giving Chinese block printing which was obviously a colossal mistake and since now they don’t want to be perceived as looking “noobish” by adding it, they went ahead and removed redemption, which no one had ever complained about.
I consider myself from older folks too, played AOE2 around when it came out. However I like addition of small new things, civs, etc. In fact I wouldn’t be playing It if it was still AoC or FE. So I have the exact opposite mentality of you 11But to clarify, it's not a question of historical accuracy. It's just that some old ppl dont like their favorite game being polluted by whatever brain farts the devs think might make the noobs giggle this time. Even if the units are balanced or downright bad, they are still there and make the game feel less and less the perfect piece of design it once was.
