Metric isn't any better. People say our system is hard to learn, and while metric may be better in engineering and science, where international cooperation is common, it is not hard to understand if you use it. How far is 10 miles? 10 miles is 10 miles, and if someone says 15 km, just use the 3/5 approximation and thats 9 miles. Don't know what's so hard about it. 1 meter is just over 3 feet? And it goes both ways. People who refuse to understand Imperial measurements are just as ignorant as people who refuse to understand metric measurements. So get off your high horses. Another factor is the sheer undertaking it would be to convert a country of this size and population to metric. You're talking a generation or 2 easily. Our system works for us, sorry if you stupid europeans don't like it.
You're not actually serious right?
The metric system is much easier to learn due to every unit increasing with 10^x to the next, rather than a random number. Such as one mile is 5280 foot, while one metric mile is 10 kilometers or 10 000 meters. Or your whole weird gallons and oz, or pounds. Sure, it's not hard to learn, but its unecessarily inconvenient
