I don't want AoE4 to fail. But the way Hera and the Gl boys just completely abandoned the game and the scene that made them big is pathetic to me. Except for Slam, he still streams AoE2.
There's room for both games? Well not according to those guys, there's only room for AoE4 in their eyes. So I'm not upset that they're playing AoE4, but that they stopped AoE2 completely.
Look at someone like Vinchester who streams both games relatively equally. I'm even willing to check out AoE4 on his channel because it doesn't seem like he abandoned the AoE2 scene. It's about respect, and Hera and the GL boys (except Slam) are disrespectful twats.
It's not the only time I've encountered divisive potential. But I usually end up on the most balanced channels rather than those that stream one game over the other. For example in the Diablo franchise, there are the hardcore D2 streamers and hardcore D3 streamers. I typically follow the channels that cover both games equally. Someone like Rhykker for example.
