Remember this is a LAN, presumably deposits have already been placed for catering, accomodation, and equipment, not to mention reserving the GL house for the event that may not be usable on short notice. So making a change in the last month could cost thousands on top of other issues.Sure, but my point was not that he should have re-scheduled the tournament in February. I just don't see what the rush was to host the tournament in March as opposed to any other month, especially given the lingering Covid travel restrictions that would make it difficult for players from some countries to participate.
I think it would have been totally reasonable to say "I'll wait and host NAC4/NC4 when covid is over and the state of the games is more clear" and Nili would likely have unlimited leeway to plan the timing of his tournament around other tournaments since he is literally responsible for that job.
Nili has said multiple times this event has been planned for months, and was essentially confirmed and locked in late last year, so changing this year was never really an option.
