Apparently there are more codes to fit in order to become recognized by the (gamers) public as an esport. Sponsoring brands, sometimes not even gamer-relaed no one care for (but we live in a capitalist world so w/e);
…maybe have pro players who can live solely by playing the game, playing in big arenas with annoying casters shouting and acting excited, neons, bright lights;
…fame, maybe a bit of rivalry, maybe even more viewers and exposure in video game press, maybe a focus on a faster game (in our case, faster speed, inexistant dark Age, screw mechanics that make the original game hard to master aka el famoso "auto-everything".
Anyways. The question is simple:
Should Age of Empires II go that path and try to become an e-sport?
Like League of Legends, Dota, Valorant, Fortnite (fun fact: I don't give a **** about these games and haven't watch twenty minutes of it. The only reason I watched twenty minutes of it was because Spring streamed LoL so I stayed curious Kappa), Smash Bros, Street Fighter, Gran Turismo Sport (these last three games are actually good), etc.
The poll's anonymous as always.
