The things happening in Hong Kong can be dated back to early June
Hong Kong government (supported by China government) want to pass the "extradition bill", which would allow suspected criminals to be sent to China for trail
The legislation would expose people in Hong Kong to China's deeply flawed justice system and lead to further erosion of the judicial independence of Hong Kong
This lead up to two million protesters join demonstration to against extradition bill in the middle of June
(Hong Kong population is about 7.5 million)
BBC - Hong Kong protest: 'Nearly two million' join demonstration
The protest keep for over 6 weeks, now they still asking:
Complete withdrawal of the extradition bill
Retraction of the "riot" characterization of 12 June protest
Release and exoneration of arrested protesters
Formation of independent commission of inquiry
Immediate implementation of universal suffrage
