t90 stated that indians were a good civ choice on el dorado cuz they collect fish faster, yet AFAIK their vills do not collect the big fish faster, only shore fish. Was this changed and I just didnt know about it or???
yea i know what it says, but i thought it was implemented incorrectly and it only affected vills when they collected shorefishThe bonus is Fishervils work faster & carry more, not shorefisher vils.

afaik it has always been this way.
As a general note, in Genie you can't really have your unit be selectively more effective when doing only X. The bonuses for fishermen/farmers are always to the entire unit, not to the specific action of gathering food from Y unit, which means that if you could somehow get your indian fishermen to, dunno, start hunting a boar while retaining their unit type "Fisherman", they'd maintain their bonus. That's just how the engine worksyea i know what it says, but i thought it was implemented incorrectly and it only affected vills when they collected shorefish
