@MAE_JO please explain to the guy above that tripe pleb bumbling ain't any authority at all and that only the 2 pro votes for the second option matterswell, answer is clear
better come up with more controversional questions
Exactly. Since I am a Hoang fan (and I myself all-in player) I will indeed convince him that the least thing important is the eco or macro, just look at the legend Hoang and you will know.@MAE_JO please explain to the guy above that tripe pleb bumbling ain't any authority at all and that only the 2 pro votes for the second option matters
why you changed your name? MAE_ME sounds like meme which fits your posts betterExactly. Since I am a Hoang fan (and I myself all-in player) I will indeed convince him that the least thing important is the eco or macro, just look at the legend Hoang and you will know.
Macro is just laughable thing, and majority votes means nothing and they are not an evidence. I mean look at my balance suggestions, they really will bring fair play and much better balance but the plebs or the majority don't like them! But who cares! They are for the better for everyone believe me!
Go play Age Of Empires II : Uno Edition, cause you seem to love turning an RTS into a Turn Based gameExactly. Since I am a Hoang fan (and I myself all-in player) I will indeed convince him that the least thing important is the eco or macro, just look at the legend Hoang and you will know.

Easiest to learn? Really? 11It's obviously game knowledge as it's the easiest to learn.
Just yesterday DauT learnt that Teuton monks can heal from twice the distance compared to an average joe. It's something that could've had an impact on Viper's Franks vs Teutons game vs Hera. It's obviously game knowledge as it's the easiest to learn.
Knowing this helps you win 1 in maybe 10000 games having less TC downtime helps you win 1 in 1 games.Just yesterday DauT learnt that Teuton monks can heal from twice the distance compared to an average joe. It's something that could've had an impact on Viper's Franks vs Teutons game vs Hera.
Game knowledge isn't the easiest to learn. Macro is much easier to learn.
Agreed, but that wasn't the point of discussion.Knowing this helps you win 1 in maybe 10000 games having less TC downtime helps you win 1 in 1 games.
I was disagreeing with this. It's much easier to learn macro i.e. continuously making villagers or balancing the economy than the game knowledge to be able to decide what to make when. It's obviously game knowledge as it's the easiest to learn.
Macro is by far the hardest in my opinion, having to keep 7+ things in mind and exciting them in a timely fashion is not at all easy.Agreed, but that wasn't the point of discussion.

You're talking about importance. Macro is definitely the most important trait and easiest to learn. Game knowledge is second most important amongst the three but NOT the easiest to learn.
Does it really matter when better micro and macro are the reason that you have more scouts alive to actually hit the villigares you made them for.Is knowing how many +1 scouts can take down a spear not a part of game knowledge? What about unit transitions?
Its not about which is more important, im just asking if these are alao part of game knowledge.Does it really matter when better micro and macro are the reason that you have more scouts alive to actually hit the villigares you made them for.
I’d think it is. Many things stem from knowledge, then there’s the application of it.Its not about which is more important, im just asking if these are alao part of game knowledge.
Funny, I was thinking about macro and knowledge before. I’d say anything a person ‘draws’ from has to do with knowledge, which would be many things like you say. It's hard to to tell where game knowledge stops. Even things like micro are like 25% game knowledge: where to move units (for ex how to split against mangonel is many times more knowing when and where you move than the ability of doing multiple clicks), which unit you hit first with which units, when to take the fight or run, when to hit vills so other guy can't tell you are hitting them and so on. AoE has so so many decisions on split seconds that many are even unconscious but are based on some knowledge. Macro is at some point game knowledge: when to focus and where you focus (knowing what is going to be more valuable for winning the game) is many times more important than knowing everything that is going on or the ability to jump fast from a place to other. And then is the pure game knowledge (what units you do, how many of them, when when to play offensive or defensive and so on) that even if you are super rusty you know that you will kill every player below 1800 just with pure game knowledge and patrolling if you are over 2k with some train.
It's true that even the very elite probably do many small mistakes per game and they still manage to win all alone by outskilling their enemy (or doing less mistakes but still doing them), but there are some top 3-10 players (Mr Yo or Daut for example) that are far from being a marvel in terms of pure gaming skills. But yet they have great game great knowledge and great macro and in like 90% of scenarios that is enough for them.
