An insight into F1re, his unorthodox civilization choice Huns and the tournament.
Before the event started I asked around about potential picks in game 2. I not once heard the Huns mentioned. You brought them over and had quite a bit of success with them.
Why did you keep picking them? How do you rate them in comparison to other Arena heavy weights?
F1re: Actually, I tried Huns after talking about it with Miguel. He was using Huns already and it looked like a good idea to me. Huns are fast and adaptable but need a good timing and the right army composition. Otherwise they fail easily against better Arena civilization.
In last years lower bracket final Fedex took out Bruh. How confident are you that you and your country can fight back this time around and beat JuanNNN and Argentina?
F1re: I am very confident, although I am the underdog. I hope I can put up a good fight with JuanNNN and take the series.
Miguel - your potential opponent after JuanNNN - isn't known for his incredible Arabia skills but it's no secret that his FR and Arena play is on a very high level. Do you think he's underrated as a player?
F1re: Miguel is a great player, he can play every map on a high level. Probably his rating at the moment is lower that it should be and that's because he`s not playing that much right now and of course you can get rusty from it. But he reached very high ratings before and it would be no problem for him to do it again.
When you first met this tournament, he beat you convincingly. Will you change anything about your approach this time around, in case you win JuanNNN?
F1re: Well, I've been watching some recorded games here and there and the stream in order to be able to get better strategy calls and execution. I think I would do better than last time.
If you fail, can he stop JuanNNN?
F1re: Yes, if Miguel practices, he can stop pretty much anyone.
Lojza beating TheViper in the upper bracket will make winning the lower bracket final a big task. Were you surprised by that result? Do you feel TheViper can fight back? Can you see another upset happen and TheViper not even making the finals?
F1re: Not surprised but impressed. Lojza made most of the right calls and he is well known for using the civilizations in their most effective ways. Anyone who'll end up facing TheViper could win as well. If a player is there he deserves it.
The last words are yours. Anything you want to say?
F1re: I would like to thank you for the tourney. Huge amount of fun for everyone. Good job!
