Taiwan A gained obvious advantage in Game 1 Term island, but the game suddenly crushed due to the connection problems from the Mexican side, coincidently after their landing army was almost cleared. Since no save was preserved, the game cannot be restored and has to be restarted from the beginning.
Seen from the Taiwanese view, it is unfair because
1) their economical and (probably )military advantage was nullified and without balanced compensation, but the problem lies in their opponent term (their connection and no timely restore)
2)their strategy became visible to their opponents who changed their strategy effectively in new game
It is understandable that AW might not be given since the advantage is not decisive. It is also clear that this kind of game crush could not be intentional. But I still feel that Taiwanese team is in a slightly unfair position.
IMO it requires rethinking how the advantage in the restart game be transfered and compensated in the rematch? Otherwise it is always suspicous that every term could use this kind of strategy of plug out, no restore, restart, when they are losing? This might decrease certainly the hype of game and credit of the competition.
