After 9 weeks of scheduling & playing, after 85 played matches & 15 admin wins, the second edition of Legacy of the Huns has come to an end. Let's thank the donators first, who added extra spice to the tournament:
willworkforicecream who shortly after the announcement chipped in $20 (like he already did for Master of Islands <3). In the later rounds, wattle ($80) and TwilliverOngenbone ($70) made sure the finalists will have a decent meal of victory.
Second, let's thank MembTV, ImRiver, and DemEyesRed who covered several matches of the tournament. Memb was there for nearly every game of the final stage, doing justice to his title as hardest working caster. As one can love (and be annoyed by) Memb, he was also emotionally present and didn't hesitate to tell me his opinions about certain events in the Voobly messenger. Thanks for being there, man! I also recommend to check out River's YT channel, his LotH thumbnails are amazing! And last but not least, DemEyes brought new life to good old VooblyOfficial - and also Nobody did a great cast of Yo vs vivi on VO, thank you guys!
Third, I want to thank YoungPanda95 for being my co-admin, and robo & Black Adder for being there as advisors - luckily they weren't needed (except robo when the WK version changed, you're a sweetheart <3).
Fourth, a special recognition is needed for RayCccc, Lanchi, robin_von, and Mr_Yo, who helped communicating with Asian participants for scheduling and during games. They provided valuable work for the tournament!
Fifth, thanks to everybody who discussed games and other topics on AoEZone and watched streams and youtube vids. Notable mentions: Andrew's BoX topic, Nili's Talk of the Empire topic. Knowing to have done something that made people care and/or brought them enjoyment is all the reward I need as a tournament organizer.
Sixth, Spaden & Spring -- I really appreciated the interviews and would have liked to do more throughout the tournament. But there was always one or the other condition lacking to get it done.
And now, roll the drums, because the time has come to applaud the mighty warriors and courageous militias:
1st - $80
MbL (playing as MbL40C)
Playing serious & winning tournaments while POV streaming. Scheduling from Mallorca & the cabin like a pro.
2nd - $55
Yo
A true AoE legend, keeping it real until the last game. I was a bit disappointed when Yo didn't want to participate in Champions League 2016, but now I'm a fan. He was also very respectful offside the battlefield.
3rd - $35
vivi (playing as ReallyDiao)
Showing StrayDog who the real daddy of chaos is.
4th
TheViper
Giving the world mastapieces. Let's call him TheVinci.
5th
USR (aka Whoop) - Showing much patience with Hera's technical issues, great game 2 vs TheViper!
Spaden - Simply a good person, gamer and communicator. Not only were his games vs AJ, Whitecourt, and MbL enjoyable, he also knows how to give good interview answers and how to handle scheduling under complicated conditions.
DauT - I felt honored to have this AoE2 icon on board. When LaaaaaN ****ed up scheduling and then nearly came too late, I already asked DauT if he wants an AW, but he said he would prefer to reschedule and that he especially looks forward to play against Yo. These are the moments.
BlackMamba (aka StrayDog) - I was shocked seeing him kill TaToH like it's nothing. But it was spectacular. Some of the best games of the tournament. TaToH was very cool about it unlike DraCoNT who complained about lag in QR4 against Mamba. He would have prevented that tower, really! (No hate DraCoNT, I love you.)
Top 16
Spring - I feel sorry for him being the snek's first tati rush prey in LotH. His games vs chart were great - and check out the AoE2 OG story in his interview! 11
Hera - One more sign-up I was very excited about. Hera's peak arahun play is world class and I hoped his participation will bring out the best in him. Sadly, it ended fast with technical issues after the first game and a still unresolved not showing up the second time.
komtan - The guy with the unique style of writing. And of course the mofo (sry, no offense) who stole (with a totally deserved win) the MbL vs St4rk reissue.
Zuppi - He who came far in the Master of the Huns in 2010/11, one more legend in the tournament. Check out how he rushed to victory in his first game vs Twigg. And his games vs Yo were quite intense!
LaaaaaN - A mess with regard to scheduling and posting recorded games. Underwhelming performance vs DauT.
xiaofan - I should stop doing such a list after 5th. Now I'm embarassed to realize I didn't see his games and can't tell any story about him. Sorry!
TaToH - I didn't see any on YouTube, but I think he also streamed a couple of matches - thank you! Btw, he was the first player I wrote "thanks for participating" to after the games, but since TheViper didn't stream it, it was no big deal. TaToH took the flowers as what they were (I hope) -- appreciation of a legend for taking part in a small tournament although he doesn't need to accumulate any fame or prove a point anymore.
(In case you wonder where slam is in this list: I probably forgot to add him. Sorry, my bad. Will add him later.)
Top 24
water, chart, Whitecourt, Twigg, DraCoNT
cloud - Check out his stream and his interview with Hueheucoyotl22! Great QR4 match vs LaaaaaN.
MrRay - The scheduling beast RayCccc himself.
St4rk - I'm still in agony. Top 10 early anime death. Thanks for hyping <3

If you read carefully, you may have noticed some salt here and there. To keep it short, I think I felt less offended than some commenters did or thought I should. But certain events (not only TheViper playing unusual strategies) certainly made me think about respect and stuff. But no need for an essay here. Having to do that IRL is enough for the moment.
Alright, that's all I think. Thanks for being around. See ya!
