In any kind of set (Bo3, Bo5, Bo7), every player has ONE restart only. A restart must be requested before 4:01 (in-game time, which is faster than real time). Restarted games can be posted as proof of rule-consistency. Players have to play the same civilizations they picked for the first attempt of the restarted game. If player A calls restart, player A has to resign.
§3 - Bugged Map Restarts
Players can request bugged map restarts before 10:01 in-game time. These restarts do not affect the restart of §2. Streamers and spectators are allowed to message a player that his map is bugged. BUT the player is fully responsible for (not) calling the restart and its consequences. One's map counts as bugged if at least one of the following is true:
- Gold: Less than 4 tiles of a gold cluster are at least accessible on one side.
- Stone: Less than 2 tiles of a stone cluster are at least accessible on one side.
- Berries: Less than 2 tiles of a berry cluster are at least accessible on one side.
- Animals: no shore fishes or less than 3 deer or less than 8 sheep or less than 2 boars or closed in animals (with in-game self-moving capability) or wolves are on the home island.
- Home islands are connected (land units can get from starting tc to starting tc without a transport ship if not blocked by the enemy).
Any graphical changes that only affect the player's Age of Empires II: The Conquerors are allowed.
§5 - Cheating
Cheating is not allowed under any circumstances.
§6 - Automatic Agreement & Punishment
By signing-up for the tournament, you automatically agree with all the tournament Rules and Settings. Not following the rules can be punished.

Seeding Processes
Top 8 seeding: The 8 signups with the best RM 1v1 rating ([highest+current]/2) have to rank the top 8 signups of the tournament. This personal top 8 ranking can include any signup. These 8 rankings combined will be the final seeding.
Stage 1 seeding: Amongst "RM - 1v1", RM - Intermediate" and "RM - Beginners", the ladder with the most games will be considered. The rating value for "RM - 1v1" will be (highest+current)/2. If a player thinks his Islands 1v1 skills are higher than his overall rating, he can request bonus points by providing Voobly game links that prove he is capable of beating higher rated players on Islands.
Bracket positions: In the usual way, for example: [(1vs8)vs(4vs5)]vs[(2vs7)vs(3vs6)].
Tournament Rules
§1 - Respecting Deadlines
All players must respect the Tournament schedule and times for each round. There will be NO exceptions or delays granted to ANY player. No excuse will be accepted for failing to play in the specified time. If the admin staff determine that a player is trying to avoid scheduling and playing the tournament games, the player may be warned, receive an admin loss for the game or match or be disqualified from MoISLA.
§2 - Admin Times & Replacements
If both players cannot come to an agreement in scheduling their match, tournament staff will analyze the situation, schedule, and time zones, in order to add a viable Admin Time that suits both Players, to the best of our ability. Another option will be replacements.
§3 - Respect & Fairplay
Every player must respect their opponent. Bad behavior (determined by staff) will result in a warning and may lead to an immediate disqualification. This tournament values not only great skills, but also sportsmanship and fairness. Any insult, racism or flaming will not be tolerated. Laming and mind games in game are allowed.
§4 - No Smurfing
All players have agreed to the No Smurfing rule. Each player must submit all relevant usernames to the admins. Smurfing and account sharing is not allowed. Any discovery of the mentioned will result in a disqualification.
§5 - POV Streaming
Players are allowed to stream their own games only if their opponents agree.
§6 - VCOM Ladder
All games are by default to be played in the Voobly Tournament Lobby using the VCOM Ladder. Most important, all games of a match must be publicly downloadable from Voobly.
§7 - Recorded Games Posting
The recorded games of matches of Stage 1 must be posted by the winner immediately after the match on AoCZone (it's allowed to let the loser post them). The files have to be renamed properly. In Stages 2 and 3, the admins take care of game posting.
§8 - Scheduling
Matches can be scheduled in the MoISLA Scheduling forum, but other ways are fine aswell. Most important, confirmed times have to be announced publicly in the scheduling forum (this is important for admins, specators and streamers). If there is no agreement about the playing time or no scheduling at all by Thursday 23.59 GMT, the staff might start interfering in order to get the games scheduled and completed in time.
§9 - Restoring
In case of disconnections, the game must be saved and restored. All of the .mgz recorded game files (multiple parts of the game before/after drop) must be provided when posting the recorded games. If restoring is not possible, the recorded game should be provided, along with any additional information to the admins. Subsequently, facts will be analyzed and a final decision made.
§10 - Schedule Reliability, Admin Wins, Rescheduling
Once two players have arranged and confirmed a time to play, the maximum waiting time is 30 minutes. If one of the players fails to arrive in time, the waiting player must take a screenshot showing http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx (so the current time is clearly visible) with the game room, and send the screenshot to an admin. Do not try to edit time arrangement posts in an attempt to get free wins, because our forum registers the exact date and hour of each edited post. Such actions are considered cheating, and the offender will be punished. It is always in the interest of the tournament to get games played, so if it doesn't delay the tournament, rescheduling would objectively be the better option than Admin Wins. It's the decision of the player who showed up if rescheduling shall happen.
§11 - No Recording = No Game
If a game is not recorded, it must be replayed regardless of result and evidence of it.
§12 - Streaming & Spectating
By signing up for the tournament you agree to have all your games streamed and casted by any streamers and co-casters through using the Spectator Mode on Voobly, brought by the Userpatch 1.4 RC version. The streams will always have a delay to avoid cheating. There is no assurance of your games being streamed, but the possibility is there at all times. Spectating is allowed for anyone as long as both players agree.
§13 - Rules Additions
New rules can be added and current rules can be changed (including gaming rules). However, Admins MUST inform the Players about such changes.
