Edit: TL;DR ties are bad and we could be heading for some nasty ones, here I talk about Liereyy-Hera but 8-9 seed unsolvable ties are possible and, in fact, even more likely.
I may be misunderstanding, but I think there's a scenario where, if Liereyy loses and Hera wins, Liereyy and Hera are completely tied...
First "tiebreak": If Liereyy loses the series and Hera wins his, they will be tied in series record (3-1)
Second tiebreak: If Liereyy loses, his Buchholz goes up by 4. If Hera wins, his goes up by 2. So they are at 8 and 7, before considering opponents. This is where it gets interesting... Liereyy gets 1 point from the winner of MbL-Viper (he played both). He gets a max of 1 from Nicov, who does play any of Hera's people. Hera could get up to 3 points from his opponents. So Liereyy, best case, finishes with 10 points. Hera, best case also finishes with 10. If Nicov loses Liereyy only has 9, but there are multiple ways for Hera to end up with 9 as well.
Third tiebreak: Head-to-head. They never played each other.
Fourth tiebreak: If Liereyy loses 1-2 and Hera wins 2-1, they will be tied map record (7-4)
