So I have noticed a lot of discussions about unfairness in maps recently, in several threads, and it got me to thinking about fairness and random maps in general. I know a lot of people complain about having a “bad map,” maybe causing them to lose the game; but isn’t that kind of the point? Random Maps are supposed to be just that: random. I feel like in the discussion and efforts for fairness, we may be losing the very essence of what RM games are.
I guess what Im really wondering is about whether fairness and randomness are fundamentally incompatible, or whether it is possible to have both.
