Honestly hosting it at a castle is pretty cool but it doesn't really work if it doesn't provide adequate seating capacity.
Why did it work last year? Because of COVID and NO live audience. But this year is different, COVID & travel restrictions have lifted which means you have to treat it more like a normal live event and that includes adequate seating capacity.
I know hindsight is 20/20 but in all reality this should have been held at some events hall or even a small arena...something that'll hold a least 1000 people. I mean if you're going to host it in Germany, generally speaking I think Germany has one of the highest numbers of AoE2 fans. And it's a fairly accessible country for all other Europeans and even North Americans.
Anyway it's too late now obviously but for future events they need to keep in mind the live audience factor.
Of course SC2 is in another league altogether, but hopefully future AoE2 LAN events can look a little more like this.
