Dunno if you ever played Voobly but it was always 200 pop (sometimes 225 or 250 but no big diffrence) and standard settings.

So it was not at all only Arabia as many "woke" people make it out to be. These maps were picked because that's what most people wanted to play and not something which was forced on them.

Also, I strongly dislike this kind of argument. There are plenty of us who play the standard maps (Arabia/arena/islands etc.) but still enjoy the opportunity to get some variety and develop new skills, which DE has made far more accessible than it ever was on Voobly/HD. This would be significantly damaged by allowing completely free-pick of maps, which would feel like a bit of a kick in the teeth to those of us who've been playing by the rules all this time.Every single player who says something about killing map diversity turns out to be either a low elo/viewer or a specific map player outside the most competitive maps, as anyone can see they are just thinking on themselves, cause so far if i get a mega random i cross my fingers for someone to alt f4 that map before me.

Add speed bonus to militia line automatically upon reaching Imp, reduce upgrade cost of Champion. Also, I don't like that lith habs are faster than celt habs. So, add in 5% speed bonus to celt infantry in ImpDid some easy calculACHIOnS because all the discussion on matchmaking is getting annoying.

Observation:
Pikemen movement speed relative to its supposed counter (Knights) is fine
Standard infantry MS relative to its counter (Castle Age Eagle Warriors) is fine
Standard infantry MS relative to its counter (Elite Eagles) is very bad, 44.4% speed difference
Conclusion:
Long Swordsmen speed is fine to deal vs Eagle Warriors;
Champion speed is not fine at all, they should not move 44.4% slower than elite eagles, but 35% slower at least, like the speed decrepancy between pike-line and knight-line;
Two-handed swordsmen speed is perfect vs EW, too slow vs EEW. Its speed can stay the same, or be a middle ground between LS and Champ
Conclusion of the conclusion:
This patch is a huge step in the right direction for standard infantry, but next patch make Champs faster so that they can actually touch EEW, and then standard infantry will probably be perfectly balanced.
