With the Top Expert League 2 just around the corner, let's do another prediction contest in the same vein as the CoT prediction contest. The premise is simple: try to correctly predict the exact outcome of every match in the tournament, or at least predict better than everyone else!
The scoring will work similarly to the CoT contest but with a few tweaks as necessary due to the different format of the tournament. In addition to the $200 for the winner, Taff and the Voobly team have generously offered some other extra incentives to the prize pool this time around!
Entry to the contest is currently scheduled to close at 21 GMT on Friday, 20/12

Scoring
Each entry will receive points based upon accuracy of their predictions and such. The entry with the highest total at the conclusion of the tournament is the winner. In case of a tie for 1st, the cash prize will be split amongst winners. I'll leave it up to Taff what he wants to do for his part.
Scoring will work as follows:
Note: You MUST correctly predict both finals participants in order to receive points for predicting the outcome of that match.
Example:
A "perfect" entry is worth 64 points broken down as follows:
28 points from rule (1) with 7 perfect predictions of matches
0 points from rule (2) with 0 predictions 1 game off
0 points from rule (3) with 0 predictions 2 games off
7 points from rule (4) for correctly predicting winner of 7 matches
8 points from rule (5) for correctly predicting final placement of 4 players
8 points from rule (6) for correctly predicting exact final point total of 4 players
8 points from rule (7) for correctly predicting both finals participants.
5 points from rule (8) for correctly predicting winner of finals.
Each match is worth up to 5 points (with a perfect prediction; 4 from rule (1) and 1 from rule (3)). The other possible outcomes are:
3 points: Predicted correct winner but off by one game in final score
2 points: Predicted correct winner but off by two games in final score OR off by one game in final score but predicted incorrect winner
1 point: Predicted correct winner but off by three games in final score OR off by two games in final score but predicted incorrect winner
0 points: Did not predict correct winner and was off by three or more games in final score.
At the conclusion of the tournament, up to 29 more "bonus" points can be gained based on final standings from rules 5-8.
Entry Template
Please use the template in the box below exactly to submit an entry. Change the numbers only (except for filling in 1st/2nd place for final match) please do not rearrange the order of the matches or add extra spaces or whatever.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure you understand the format of this tournament. There will be six Round Robin games with a BO7 format (the series is over once a player reaches 4 map wins) followed by a BO9 final between the top two finishers. Make sure your scores are valid, make sure you properly calculate the top two in the RR so you correctly fill out who will be in the playoff (tiebreaker for points is head-to-head result). I will do my best to PM you if you incorrectly fill out your entry, but ultimately it's up to you to do it correctly. Remember, unlike CoT, every match is a true "best of" series and will end as soon as one player wins 4 (or 5, in the final) maps.
Again, make sure you replace 1stPlace/2ndPlace with names. The order isn't important, but make sure you get the correct two participants based on your prediction. Your entry will be considered invalid if your championship match contains participants that would not make the playoff based on your RR results. For example, if your final RR results were Jordan:10 slam:8 bac: 6 daut: 4, your final must be between Jordan and slam (and it's a BO9). So your last match should look something like:
JorDan_23 5:4 slam
or something like that.
Note that the entry does not include the final standing or points total. I'll calculate it based on your match results. You are welcome to include them at the bottom of your entry to help yourself calculate who is in the finals based on your prediction.
This format may be a little confusing for some people. Here's a "sample" entry. Your entry should look very similar to this but with different numbers and possibly different finals players:
If you wish to participate but prefer your predictions to be private, you can submit an entry via PM. I will not make your specific prediction public, however you will be included in periodic score updates.
Use this thread for submitting entries only.
Good luck!

Rules
- An entry consists of a score prediction for every round robin match and a score prediction and player prediction for the final. Entries without every match or with invalid scores will be disqualified. Please understand the format of this tournament! There is a brief explanation by the entry template.
- Entries must be submitted using the template below. I am lazy and using a different format will probably cause me to skip your entry.
- Multiple entries will result in disqualification
- The 4 players in the tournament are not allowed entry :P
- The deadline to submit or edit an entry will be the start time of the first scheduled match. Tentatively, this appears to be Friday at 21 GMT.
- You are allowed to edit your entry up until the entry deadline. Any edits made after the deadline will void that entry.
- Rules are subject to change as deemed necessary.
- You must have PayPal to receive your prize.
Prizes
- 1st Place: $200 USD and 3 months Voobly Gold Membership
- 2nd Place: 3 months Voobly Silver Membership
- 3rd Place: 1 month Voobly Silver Membership
- Bonus: I'll up the cash to $500 USD if the winner correctly predicts every match ("perfect" entry)

Scoring will work as follows:
- For predicting the exact outcome of a match, receive 4 points.
- For a prediction off by one game, receive 2 point (e.g. Prediction is 4-3, Actual is 4-2 or 3-4).
- For a prediction off by two games, receive 1 point (e.g. Prediction is 4-3, Actual is 4-1 or 2-4
- For correctly predicting winner of the match, receive 1 point.
- For correctly predicting final placement of a player, receive 2 points (e.g. Predicted player X to finish 2nd and player X actually does finish 2nd)
- For correctly predicting a players exact final point total, receive 2 points.
- For correctly predicting a participant in the final, receive 4 points (this is cumulative with Rule 5 and does not require you to correctly predict 1st/2nd finishing. e.g. you will receive 4 points from this rule if you have 1st/2nd place backwards).
- For correctly predicting the winner of the final, receive 5 points (you do NOT have to correctly predict the "loser" of the final to receive these points)
