What's up with the four Arabia games in the set tho
It's called good settings

What's up with the 17 non-arabia maps in the set tho?
Normally I would agree on that, the problem is that the old civs have been modified (so called balance)? For example huns cavalery archers are more expensive.Personally, I would be interested in seeing how do the new civs fare against the old power civs like Mayans, Aztecs, etc. So a system that could enforce - at least in some of the games - such matchups would be awesome!
Other than that...HYPE!!!!
Really nice idea and should definitely produce some good games, but as good a player as Daut is I don't think he's close enough to Viper's level to really make it competitive. That's not a knock on Daut, he's definitely a top-5ish player, but the gap between #5 and #1 (Viper) is still a big one, IMO

Absolutely.
In recent years, the only player to ever match (and maybe even surpass) Viper's level was the late 2013/early 2014 Jordan, who was able to beat him twice in back-to-back official tournaments (Clash of the Titans and BO21).
From then on, it has been kind of a walk in the park for Viper in almost every single 1v1 tournament he got in. In my opinion, the only ones who at times seemed like they could get to the same level were Yo (around the time of the Maldives tournament) and maybe RiuT. But none of them was consistent enough to actually be considered a real contender.
I have high hopes for that Austrian kid though!
*4-1, but wouldn't say RiuT is better just because of one victory, although he got close to getting at vipers levelRiuT destroyed Viper 4-0 in the Arabia invitational. He just doesn't play as much as he used to.
I'm just a bit disappointed that Daut didn't seem to prepare different civs/strategies. Even in his home map, he struggled to choose one, admitted to be lazy and went for the obvious Mayans choice in RF
Hope to see a different story on friday.

I don't remember Riut ever coming close to Viper. Jordan was great, but he was never better, just equally good.
