I never played LOL but I did try a similar game called Heroes of the Storm and if LOL is anything like that, it's a stupidly simple game. I would get bored in maximum a week.
Yep and in LoL if I am correct you also always play the same map?!I never played LOL but I did try a similar game called Heroes of the Storm and if LOL is anything like that, it's a stupidly simple game. I would get bored in maximum a week.
I don't understand this obession with "becoming pro" that some people have. Hera is a streamer, he just plays games for a living, not a thrilling personality but he has his loyal fanbase, looks like he just decided to choose something that he enjoys playing for a while instead of doing 8 hours 1v1s arabia every single day.
There are still 80+ characters so it's not that simple. LoL is more complex than HotS however in terms of both game mechanics and character count. They have almost 160 champions, which actually is to the point of a joke since Riot struggles to make them without copying a previous design or introducing ever more outlandish overloading to a kit. It'd be like if there were over 40 AoE2 civs.I never played LOL but I did try a similar game called Heroes of the Storm and if LOL is anything like that, it's a stupidly simple game. Edit: Oh yeah I forgot this point of complexity that HotS has in its favor.Yep and in LoL if I am correct you also always play the same map?!
Yup, that's exactly what I said in other thread. And to be on top in LoL is much more difficult due there is way way bigger competition, also less different aspects to improve. And in aoe2 people loved watching him doing some dumb strat and still winning against top10 players. And I wouldn't say he is not entertaining, it's just in LoL you can watch same or more entertaining guy who is way higher in rating too, so you get more of it. But yes, I think even if you are boring but if you are top1-3 player in that game you stream, people will still watch you, people just like watching top/much better players than themself.I think Hera's streaming success stems from him being a "pro player", more so than his abilities as an entertainer. So his success is directly linked to his ability to perform.
well that is just not acceptable nor humane in the eyes of some here. the only appropriate solution is to keep every aspect of his life under a microscope in order to find any reason to call him out over it, even if it was in regards to a minor comment or remark of his made in jest years ago, and to never ever let it go, looking for every opportunity to bring it back up even if its completely out of context and irrelevant to a discussion at hand. because apparently that is the only way for this community to have healthy discussions in order to improve and grow. The guy can do whatever he wants to, leave him alone lol. If he wants to play ****ing minecraft so what? Let him grind on LOL, or if he gets tired of it he will for sure get back to a very high level on AOE. Toxic comments are just empty words that leads to nowhere. If you like him support him, if you dont like him just mind your own business lol.
What show is this from?Whats with the god damn hit piece on him?
If Icey thinks something is toxic there can be no doubt

I think he would switch back at least part time if the ladder situation improved. What is needed for this to happen? I know it is bad and that is why he left but don't exactly get why.Hera just write in youtube : "Any other videos you guys want about the upcoming DLC? Im super excited for it, big 2022 Aoe2 comeback for me? :O"
;-) he plays with our nerf but super hype
Prize pools compared to aoe4 prize pools, that is what it's needed; dohI think he would switch back at least part time if the ladder situation improved. What is needed for this to happen? I know it is bad and that is why he left but don't exactly get why.
Look at it in reverse, is it part of anyone's job to follow a streamer's stats in a game that he's playing on the side and gossip about his alleged lack of skill / improvement / luck? Its like being the paparazzi; what purpose does it serve?Everyone who says "please don't comment the public person/streamer" is also living in strange world. That's part of their job, getting commented about all they do, which for sure sometimes is hard to go through, but that's part of their job for what they getting money.
Well you can try to look at it from reverse or other side or whatever you want, but to want be "famous" and watched/recognised as much as possible on twitch or elsewhere and at same time to not want being discussed if something goes wrong is just not how it works. If you want attention and to be public person then you take both of it.Look at it in reverse, is it part of anyone's job to follow a streamer's stats in a game that he's playing on the side and gossip about his alleged lack of skill / improvement / luck?
