I've been trying to learn some of the new RMS features for 1.5, specifically data changes using effect_amount and effect_percent tools. I'm finding that the documentation for that stuff is a bit limited. I thought I'd make this topic to try and get some of my own questions answered if scripter or anyone else can provide some insight; and if anyone else is trying to learn, they can feel free to ask questions and use this topic as a reference as well.
So to start out:
1) What is the syntax for modifying attack and armor for units? How does attack and armor class factor in? I read somewhere that the value should be set to (256*class)+desired value, but I can't seem to get that to work.
2) When enabling techs, what is the difference between ATTR_ENABLE and ATTR_FORCE?
3) Could it possible for data modifications to be civ-specific? For example:
if BRITON
effect_amount.........etc.
endif
4) Could it be possible to modify the effects of an existing technology, i.e. having effect_amount commands only apply when a specific technology is researched in the game?
