People ask me frequently why I think walls have ruined the meta on a version where walls are nerfed (even 2k2 players and casters)
AOC/Voobly: 30 Wood = 1 house = 750 hp
D.E. 30 wood = 1 house + 3 Palisade = 1500 hp
(50% more hp on the wall PER HOUSE)
Gold/Stone/wood are also generated closer to the TC
hills/ponds are generated farther from the tc if left in at all.
the game runs at a slower speed and has many more QOL that allows much easier control of units and time for slower players to think.
The game freezes at every up time allowing people to know what strategy they are vs without scouting.

This game balance was designed by 1400 arena players or lower who tried to play green arabia and got mad that they lost. The game balance was designed under the impression that goal 1 was to wall and goal 2 was to eco rather than fighting an adaptive game where you must learn production, micro, macro, unit counters, creation times, longevity.
A good analogy I think would be AOC = MMA with all fighting styles while DE = Boxing with floyd mayweather dancing back and forth not doing **** for 50 mins and winning.
