Do you have any thoughts on the power of the Cuman buff?Dont think too many people played them yet, and if they did probably mostly with cumans. And then you cant really say if its simply the cuman buff or the steppe lancer that does well.

Yea production speed might not be enough but not sure what else to give. Speed is a huge no no. Attack could be okay. They have a sick feudal boom thoughI still believe that the buff cumans needed was something to their SL, since Tatars have silk armor and mongols have extra HP.
1 more attack for cumans, or bonus damage or whatever would go along way
I think the logic thing will be give extra attack or extra attack speed (changing the effect of the cuman castle age UT )Yea production speed might not be enough but not sure what else to give. Speed is a huge no no. Attack could be okay. They have a sick feudal boom though
I find it better to patrol with stand ground, so they stack upI think it's very important to focus fire with them. patrol in and then select like 5-8 of them and focus single knights
depends, if you try and do both then the lancers will end up un-stacking as they attempt to target a specific unit. but I guess if that unit is already in their range as they are attacking, it'd work fine.hmm yeah, I guess you can combine both things
Tbh I wouldn't mind if Cumans, Tatars and maybe Turks and Mongols got the knight line removed, and SL slightly remodelled to fill that gap. Make them closer to knights in stats, but maybe a bit weaker offset by the range bonus.
I've been thinkig about my own idea and I would actually extended it to Battle Elephants as well. They all are gold costing, raw power units. Having access to multiple kinds of them seems quite redundant. I think they could work nicely as a knight replacement similarly to Eagle Warriors for American civsSince replacing generic units with regional units is now a thing (Winged Hussars), I would consider doing the same with Steppe Lancers replacing knights as they are pretty much redundant
