Now that “War is Coming” has ended after 4 months and 20 days of amazing games and streams, the Prediction Contest has come to an end as well. The contest started on January 31st and lasted for almost 2 months. The first bets were for “The Awaking”, a 1v1 DM special, all matches after that tournament were covered with the possibility to stake gold on them to win the contest.
A big thank you
First of all we would like to thank the TyRanT sponsor to sponsor this event, not only War is Coming, but also the Prediction Contest. TyRanT was generous enough to grand us a prize pool of $1,000.
Second we would like to thank the tournament admins, streamers and players for organizing the tournament and providing us with enjoyable stream and countless of hours of recs and fun.
Third we would like to thank all participants for entering and participating in this event and for your patience and understanding during the contest.
Lastly I would like to thank the staff that helped us provide the best bets and odds. The staff members who helped a lot are:
- Tsu_NilPferD, Nilpferd was extremely helpful with the DM bets we did, he did most of the DM bets himself. The odds were almost all his. Plus he did his best to provide the best possible odds imaginable.
- arma, arma suggested to do this bet during week 6 (part 1 of the Grand Finals): “Game 5: WiC_Regicide_Fortress_v2 will we see a regicide (while player still alive)?” We chose not do this, because it is extremely unlikely. Who would have known it would actually happen. arma also helped to provide the best possible odds imaginable.
- Juan_, Juan provided his professional opinion about the bets and added some of them as well, like “Will a 1v1 Rooster match end before minute 23?” Juan helped with a odds as well.
Congratulations

We hope all participants had fun while competing for the top 6. We had fun organizing this contest, not everything went as planned and in hindsight things could have gone better. If you have any suggestions for future prediction contests you can go here (viewtopic.php?f=1002&t=109027) and leave a comment. You can use that topic to submit what your opinions were about the contest, things that went well and thing that could have gone/be done better. This will help us in future with other prediction contests if we happen to run another one.
